[ Not that he talks about this a lot, but he misses his real sisters, too, and having Ruby and Yang here reminds him of his real family back home. The girls are lucky that they still have each other here, but Jaune certainly doesn't have to remind them of that.
Jaune seems reluctant about something, but ultimately decides to go through with it(and because he mentions it every time in the heart meme) and leans towards Yang, giving her the shortest, most awkward hug in the world before pulling back again. He wanted to give her one ever since he walked in, but hearing her accept him just made him get lost in the moment for a second. ]
