"Heeey, you've reached Yang! Well, actually, you didn't reach far enough, 'cause I'm not here right now! But don't yang up! Just leave a message on this baby, and I'll get back to you soon enough, okay?"
[So just like Naoki didn't like the thought of guys trying to get handsy with her hence the fire just before-- But he glances down at their hands, smiles and tightens his with hers, and follows.]
I can do that. And you won't have to worry about it.
[Naoki makes a skeptical hmmm sound and shrugs one of his shoulders.] Probably.
This is a whole new challenge, though.
[HE FEELS OUT OF PLACE. And it's obvious from how he tightens his hand with Yang's. He doesn't regret the offer to stick around or anything, mind, he just has no idea how to get used to this environment.]
[As they near the bar, he slows, shifting to face her and lifting his free hand. He goes to turn her chin with a light touch, but he's just going to kiss her cheek-- at the corner of her lips.] But I think, with this, I'll manage.
[ ... Sap. But Yang grins, cheeks gaining the slightest hint of pink-- and she'll turn to the bartender, indicating Naoki with her free hand. ]
This is my boyfriend. No one hits on him, no one touches him-- look out for him.
[ And with a squeeze, she'll seamlessly blend in with the crowd on the dance floor, which is some sort of feat considering how closely they're gyrating against each other. ]
[He got to see a little blush (he can tell even under the club lighting, he's got an eye for this) so he's totally prepared to wait hours for her. He watches her go, smiling, before turning to the bar.
So she totally would be bothered if someone else hit on him. He's thinking that and feeling pretty happy as he slides onto a stool and turns it to watch the crowd.]
[ She can be a wee bit possessive-- and he may see glimpses of her every so often, turning to spot him at the bar. But for the rest of the time, she'll be completing the hour and finishing up her job.
[Of course he won't be bored-- after all, he gets to watch Yang at work!
Eventually he'll order himself something non-alcoholic to sip on, but for the most part he finds himself relaxing as he just looks around and also watches (with amusement) the bartender wave away a couple of people who go to approach him.]
[ As expected-- she was smart to give him a guardian. The last act is breaking up a fight on the dance floor, but then Yang's approaching to gracelessly slump across his back. ]
[Naoki tips his head slightly, to peer at her out of the corner of his eye, moving to lean his head back against her.] Good work, Yang. That didn't feel as long as I thought it would.
[It didn't feel like forever and ever... that is.]
