[She pops up into a seated position as though to prove it.]

[ Very dry, as she lifts her head again. ]

[He's kind of preoccupied-- right now all he wants to do is make her feel a little better, more secure, ease the pain she went through.]

[ Because it's Ruby, though-- ] I still feel like it should hurt, but... it's a weird feeling. Maybe because I remember how it felt?

[He cups his hand against the back of her head, sliding down over her hair.]

[Naoki smiles softly and brings his face closer so that he's brushing a kiss over her lips.]

I love you too. [ She can say it so easily now, and still with so much sincerity, her eyes bright with the emotion of it all when she leans back in to kiss him. ]

[She shrugs a little at that, sheepish.]

I don't think either of us was very cool out there...but nobody really was, right?

[His sigh against her lips is warm, satisfied, his hand sliding against the back of her neck. He's still intent on keeping her gathered as close as possible to him, staying that way. It's like he plans on following through on sticking to her even right now.]

... I guess Hiro was pretty cool. And Baymax. But then, it's hard to remember who was doing what, and how awesomely they were doing it after awhile...

[ Time to stand up, though, and grasp her sister's hood to haul her up too. ]

[ Ah, yes. Her graceful baby sister, tactful as always. But it makes Yang grin as she lets Ruby go without fuss, setting the marshmallows on the counter and rummaging in one of the cabinets for the box of graham crackers. ]

He kinda reads at your level of awkward to me, sometimes...

[ok he's kind of awkward because so is she but SHUT UP...

[THIS SAID after he urged her along to come training with him in the lot they have been training in ever since... well, since they met. Naoki's crouched on the ground, taking a breather even though he insisted on keeping their training session light today...

[ Naoki rarely had to do any insisting when it came to training, not when Yang tended to invite herself along anyway-- that had been the first indication that something was up. And then not wanting to go all out? Suspicious point #2.

Now, rubbing at a sore spot on her jaw, she blinks at him. ]

[Naoki raises his eyebrows at her, rocking himself to his feet. He gets to stretching, arms arched up over his head before he hooks one of them around the other to pull it.]

Acting weird... is that what you call it when I'm like "nah let's not beat the crap out of each other today"?
