[Naoki's cheek puffs up slightly.] I wanna take you somewhere nice.

[flaredo]

[ Pokes his cheeks? Yep. ]

But I think anywhere'd be nice, if it was with you.

I mean, unless the hotel's falling apart, but...

[masakados]

[Naoki puckers his lips at her, making a fish face, but then chuckles and brings her closer.]

I'd never take you somewhere decrepit.

[flaredo]

I know you wouldn't. Private's a good start, though. We have a ton of stuff to catch up on.

[ And he's looking less drained, too... ]

[masakados]

This, for one.

[Lots and lots of cuddling. Naoki gazes at her thoughtfully.] And I wanna hear about what happened where you were.

[flaredo]

Now?

[ Yes, talking about suffocating in a volcano seems like perfect cuddle talk. ]

[masakados]

[But it's there on the list...] Right now, I want this. [He moves his hand to her cheek, thumbing along her cheekbone.]

[flaredo]

Look at you, telling me what you want without help... you've really gotten more confident.

[ And she's so proud, turning her head to kiss his palm. ]

[masakados]

[Naoki blushes, watching her kiss his palm and shifting his thumb to tap lightly against her lips.]

If I have, it's mostly 'cause of you.

[flaredo]

Mm... well, I'll take credit, I guess.

[ She's just happy she's been able to see him improve. ]

[masakados]

[Naoki smiles, touching the backs of his fingers against her cheek.]

Yeah, do. [She deserves that, after all she's done for him, gosh.]

[flaredo]

I will, I will! I'll brag about it, too.

[ Don't think she won't. ]

[masakados]

I never doubted that.

[Amused, he flicks his fingers against her bangs, smiling as he takes her in. He's thinking again how glad he is to be back with her and then something else comes creeping in from the corners of his mind--]

...Ah, Yang? [...] Your sister. We should probably check on Ruby.

[flaredo]

[ GRABBING HER DEVICE, which is conveniently within reaching distance to-- text her sister, yes. ]

Gimme a sec--

[masakados]

[...She could've gotten up and gone to the next room to check on her. Texting in the house...

Naoki wraps his arms tight around her and cranes his neck to try and see what she's texting.]

[flaredo]

[ enjoy reading it, Naoki. Yang's managing to snuggle closer and keep up a conversation, isn't this impressive-- ]

[masakados]

[PURSING HIS LIPS.]

That makes it sound like I've got you trapped. [And, kissing the top of her head:] I can let you go so you can check on her.

[flaredo]

If she's joking with me, she's okay. And if I check on her now, I won't be back in here with you for awhile.

[ She appreciates the consideration, though, moving one hand to clasp his. ]

[masakados]

Oh.

[Naoki grips back at her hand, squeezing gently. Yup, just the "oh", but if Yang says it's fine, he'll be content.]

[flaredo]

... You're sleeping with me tonight though, right?

[ She might demand it this time. ]

[masakados]

[He's giving her a look.]

There's no way that I wouldn't be.

[flaredo]

Just checking! That'll make it easier to ditch you if I have you to come back to.

[ She says... so lovingly. ]

[masakados]

I'm so glad. Always good to know when you can ditch me without worrying.

[He says incredibly dryly...]

[flaredo]

Well, someone's gotta keep the bed warm for me.

[ But she's just going to kiss him, because of course he knows she's far from serious. ]
