Got stuck on some beach with Maris. And then the tentacle monster attacked.

Yup. Showed up out of nowhere and apparently didn't like us. Maris didn't look too worried about it, but he didn't do anything when some of us fought it off, either.

Naoki mentioned something about a kraken... so that's what it was, huh? Did anyone get badly hurt?

Nope... I think a lot of people were already on edge by the time it showed up. We took care of it pretty quickly.

[A pause.] Who's Naoki?

Oh! I did see him around before. I didn't know he was your boyfriend, though.

Listen, though, I wanted to ask if you saw anything weird while you were with Ardeo.

While we were on the way to the beach, we saw these homes where the natives--I think they were natives--used to live.

It looks like CERES made a housecall at some point, too.

Ah, yeah... well, I knew they'd gotten in contact with the natives before. Of course they probably harassed everyone...

Mmm yeah. There were some old machines there, and some notes scattered around the place. One of the pages said something about how there used to be a rift between the elementals.

So you guys didn't see anything CERES...y or suspicious while you were there?

There were like these cool little wall... picture-burn things that I think were about the other natives, and some shiny stickers, but nothing CERES-y.

But a rift, huh?

Apparently. It looks like whatever problems they had with each other, they worked through, though.

I mean, we saw the four spirits all together in the jungle.

They're probably teaming up against a common enemy. They all don't really seem to like CERES, so...

[Korra sighs, more forcefully this time.]

If only it were easy to find out what actually happened between them and CERES. They've been dropping clues, but I still don't have the whole picture.

That just means we keep digging, Korra. We'll turn something up that'll make sense.
