[ Well, he's not the CEO's biggest fan either, but this really seems kind of counterproductive. Luckily, he's got an idea. ]

You can do it after he tells us what we need to know. Or if he won't cough up the info. Deal?

[ she'll behave. ]

Great. Once we've got what we need from him, you can do whatever you want, as long as you don't kill him.

[ Hey, if it's the guy who's responsible for Gon's disappearance, what's a little torture among friends? ]

[flaredo]

I usually only punch to kill with monsters [ USUALLY ] so no worries there! But I say we come up with a game plan and crash tonight and then start computer genius hunting tomorrow.

[dielectrics]

Sure. I guess some sleep would be good.

[ Wait. Wait a second. ]

Wait, you're staying?!

[flaredo]

Well, yeah. Just toss me a blanket and we'll call it good.

[dielectrics]

Absolutely not.

[ He's not some kid who needs company, jeez! Even if the room is kind of... quiet without Gon around. But he's totally, absolutely fine! ]

[flaredo]

Okay, then be stingy. [ but she's already stretching her legs out. She can camp out like this just fine. ]

[dielectrics]

I'm not being stingy, I'm saying you can't stay overnight!

[ He knows it's a losing battle. He knows, and yet he is going to fight it anyway. ]

[flaredo]

[ Well, she can admire his fighting spirit.

... By opting not to mention her admiration at all and seemingly ignoring it completely as she flops down on the floor and closes her eyes. ]

[ Is it her life's goal to be infuriating? Because she's doing a great job!

Killua makes a small noise of rage. And then a blanket flops down onto Yang's face, followed by a pillow. ]

[flaredo]

... You're so not cute. [ but she's grinning as she removes the offending items, tucks the pillow under her head and curls up under the blanket. ]

[dielectrics]

I know I'm not.

[ He says grumpily, and turns over onto his side, pointedly putting his back to her.

It almost seems like he's gone to sleep, he's so quiet, his breathing even and steady for at least a good twenty minutes. Then, quietly, he says: ]

Yang? Are you still awake?

[flaredo]

Present and accounted for. [ although she sounds drowsy. She may or may not have been dozing, but as someone who'd used to wake up whenever she heard Ruby cry, she's not as heavy a sleeper as she appears. Even now, when her sister has long since grown out of diapers. ]

What's up, Killua?

[dielectrics]

[ He mumbles the words into the darkness, almost like he's hoping it'll swallow them up before Yang can hear them: ]

Gon's really an idiot, you know. I don't know anyone else who's stupid enough to get himself taken apart after he got put back together.

[flaredo]

[ There's silence-- and then Yang's voice breaks it, quiet but with a trace of a smile. ]

Idiots like that tend to make big dramatic comebacks. And with a friend like you... he'll be okay.

[dielectrics]

Yeah. He'll show up, or I'll just have to go and find him.

[ He nods to himself and settles a little more comfortably in his bed. ]

And when I find him, I'm gonna hit him so hard he'll never think of doing something this stupid again.

[ He sounds extremely pleased with this idea. It's totally reasonable, of course. ]

[flaredo]

... Duly noted. I almost feel sorry for the guy.

[dielectrics]

Don't feel sorry for him. He'll deserve it.

[ He hmphs and yanks the blankets up over his shoulders. ]

[flaredo]

At least go easy on the brain damage, okay? I'd like to meet him first.
