[Naoki's a little tired-- he'll admit it. This was his first time being surrounded by so many people and their emotions for such a long stretch of time. Around the middle of the ball, he'd felt light-headed and dizzy from it, but it'd gotten better once he'd given Yurlungur some of his magatsuhi.

Which... well. He doesn't want to think about it.

By now he's just looking forward to finding Yang and walking with her back home. It's when the ball really looks well into winding down and quite a few people have left by now that he actually goes searching.

--aha, there she is.] Hey, Yang.

[flaredo]

Naoki!

[ No matter how tired she is from repeatedly punching a tree or chasing after drunkards, or how sore her feet are-- Yang's entire face still lights up when she spots him.

Honestly, she'd felt bad, not being able to spend as much time with him as she'd hoped, but hopefully this will make up for her absence. ]

Are you ready to go?

[masakados]

[Seeing her face lighting up like that is the best thing--

Naoki's own expression softens completely and immediately (visibly), openly glad as he shifts up next to her. His hand swings leisurely closer until their fingers brush.]

Yep, I'm all ready.

[flaredo]

[ Instantly, her finger seek out his, a soft glide as she twines them together. This, she thinks, is what she's missed. ]

Me too. Time to hit the road!

[masakados]

[Naoki feels a rush of contentment as their fingers twine and he squeezes her hand gladly. To the way out--!]

Thanks for your hard work tonight.

[flaredo]

Thanks for saving me a few dances-- and Yurlungur too. It made the hard work worth it.

[ But she's still sighing happily as she steps outside. Ah, alone time. ]

[masakados]

[Alone time at last-- Naoki's pace as they walk is leisurely.]

That was my pleasure. [It was fun getting to dance with her, and getting to give her little breaks in-between her working.]

[flaredo]

[ So is Yang's-- also because her feet hurt a bit, but she's been running around in heels (without stumbling), so that much is a given. ]

I saw you out there, too-- you really danced like a pro!

[masakados]

Ah... thanks. [Compliments...]

I think I managed to remember your lessons pretty good, teacher.

[flaredo]

You definitely did. [ And she nudges his shoulder. ] I'm really proud of you, Naoki.

[masakados]

[Naoki leans over, pressing a grateful kiss to her cheek. Hearing her say that is warming. And so, softer,] Thanks.

[But, casting his mind back over it...]

I've gotta say, it was really an interesting night.

[flaredo]

[ And Yang's smile warms; ugh, he's being cute again-- ]

Interesting, huh? Are you ready for it to be boring for the rest of it?

[masakados]

[Glancing sidelong at her...]

I'm pretty sure it's not going to start being boring quite yet. [Not as long as she's around!]

[flaredo]

... Mm, yeah, I think you needed to ask someone for help with your suit, right?

[masakados]

That's right. Glad you didn't forget.

[And so, tightening his hand briefly with hers--] So, Yang, would you help me out of it when we get back? I couldn't do it without you.

[This is a nice way of asking, right?]

[flaredo]

It'd be my honor to set you free, Naoki.

[ Said so seriously, but the amusement's there. ]

[masakados]

Thanks.

[Also affecting a serious face--] I've just been suffocating... [He lies it's pretty comfy all things considered though he still wants out of it.]

[flaredo]

Poor baby... [ With a croon, and she grips his hand a little tighter-- to tug him along. ] Then we can't keep you waiting!

[masakados]

[Naoki's snorting as he's tugged--] Right, that'd just be too hard on me. [But she doesn't have to go too fast, she is in heels after all...]

[flaredo]

[ She can move amazingly in heels, okay. ]

And me, honestly.

[masakados]

[She can, it's honestly impressive--

But that will just get a smile and Naoki moves to pull up her hand and kiss the back of it in response.]

Then for both our sakes.

[flaredo]

It's teamwork again, you know. [ And she's grinning at him fondly. Well, private time is also nice. ]

[masakados]

Yeah, I know.

[And since it's teamwork...] ...Think I can take down your hair for you?

[flaredo]

I was wondering if that was driving you crazy... [ With his love of her hair and all. ] But sure, I don't mind.

[masakados]

[Ah, and he's flushing slightly.] I think it's really pretty but... you know...

[Ahem. He really just wants to get his fingers in it and pull it free and okay he's going to look off to the side.]
