"Heeey, you've reached Yang! Well, actually, you didn't reach far enough, 'cause I'm not here right now! But don't yang up! Just leave a message on this baby, and I'll get back to you soon enough, okay?"
[Call it incidental that Naoki's wound up here. Yes, definitely incidental, but he hangs around this district generally anyway and that's his excuse and he's sticking with it.
He's just planning on passing by, maybe having a glance inside to see if he can see Yang when there's suddenly a man being hurled out through the front door and he's blinking and surprised...
Before wisely ducking, the man skidding over his head and off onto the sidewalk behind him.]
[ While he would normally run to Ruby when something serious comes up, he feels Yang is probably closer to the situation and has some first hand experience with... team mates disappearing. When she picks up the phone, she's not greeted by his usual panicky voice, but one that carries a certain gravity to it. ]
Yang? It's Jaune. [ Why does he always have to announce himself as if she doesn't have his number saved??? It is a mystery. ]
[ Thanks for the heads' up, she totally doesn't have his number saved-- no, just kidding. She also thinks she knows why he's calling, but she's giving him the benefit of the doubt. ]
[Guess who ditched the doctor's gigs along the way? This guy. Who is also shirtless today because way to go, ViViD, pulling a guy right from his apartment while he's trying to just chill. He's taking everything pretty well, all things considered.
Even when he plunges through the trapdoor into the basement, even when he sees a child apparition of himself, even then he's managing. More or less.
--the fact that the blood is lingering on his hands is unnerving, though, and he can't seem to look at his hands right now, arms held at an awkward angle. So guess who is looking for a place to wash them. And he hears rain starting outside of the hospital...]
[ There's someone hurrying towards him. Sprinting, more rather. And since she's glancing over her shoulder, she might not spot him until the last possible second, and then--
residential district, gym, school, parts of entertainment district compromised due to falling machinery(?) other areas flooded. please direct injured, misplaced, tired, and frantic people to upper levels of the hospital for shelter. communication limited to text and voice, healing does not work on those with intense lethargy.
personal request: utilize your motorcycle to scout together where there is still dry land or at least where it isn’t flooded with Celty
Hello, Yang, this is Celty. I received Natalia's text earlier and I was wondering if you'd like to meet up? If you're busy with repairs and relocation I completely understand, however. Please let me know if you need any assistance.
[ There is a note that says "Congratulations on your winnings! Enjoy ten dollars off from Massages Till The End. Here is your receipt for damages incurred during the game. The total has already been deducted from your accounts. Thank you!" ]
[She stumbles into the living room for breakfast in the morning and her hair is extra tousled, and she yawns extra, and staggers around like a zombie.]
Breakfaaaaast....
[Honestly she kind of wants sweets but she is a GROWING GIRL and therefore must eat a healthy breakfast.
Her brain hasn't quite turned back on yet, though, it seems. That would be because she's been having some really weird dreams lately.]
Eggs, toast, or cereal? All of the above? Strawberry jam?
[ ... We can't all be culinary masters, like Naoki. But Yang lifts an eyebrow, curious but not all that concerned at her sister's groggy state. ] You sure slept in, though.
[--honestly, he can't stand it. This lack of energy is driving him absolutely crazy. And he can't even muster up enough energy to get really riled up over it. So, as it is, it's sort of a nagging frustration. He rolls over in bed, palming at his face with a hand before cocking his head.
He's listening... all's quiet out there. He knows Yang is still out there, but maybe he'll just slip out for a bit. Do something.]
...
[All righty. Up he goes, making his way to the door of his room and sidling out.]
[ Too late. He's going to find himself with a palm against his shoulder, aiming to shove him back against the wall. Yang herself is smiling pleasantly, but that doesn't really mean all's well. ]
[When Naoki wakes up in his own bed (+ one unwelcome robot with breakfast that gets unceremoniously shoved aside) it takes him all of five seconds to hurl himself out of bed. There's a loud bang as he throws his door open, heedless to anything, feet slipping slightly on the floor.
And then there's another bang, probably an unwelcome noise first thing in the morning, as he hurtles into Yang's room. Her name is already on his lips, tongue fumbling in his panic and his heart's in his throat because she's got to be here, what if she--]
[ She's here. Here, and in the process of forcing out a robot, so when Naoki comes barreling in, he might want to duck that poor soul going flying past him-- and out the open door, wonderful assist.
When she straightens up, and spots him, though-- the look of surprise, followed by sheer relief, is hard to miss. ]
Two questions for you. I mean technically three, but the third is more like a favor/request sort of thing? Um. When you have time I mean.
[Because it's still awkward to flat-out say he was worried about people and that he's checking in. Whatever, he gave her a full day. That's enough time.]
